With a low immune system all you may have is your

prayers and if you survive that's what we call a miracle'

I voted yes as well. Even though George is critically ill, he has demonstrated an extrodinary will to live and hopefully it will be enough to get him through this year.

Forgive me for being ignorant but what is a Lazarus Act?

Lazarus was the man who was awakened from the dead in the bible. So I think that iain was referring to George's condition suddenly improving, similar to what happened last month.

That is indeed what I was referring to.Mind you the fact that hes allowed a picture of him looking ina pretty bad way to be published in the papers today ,supposedely to warn us of the dangers of alcoholism, suggests he thinks that might be the last time we'll ever see him alive. Then again a few weeks agoi he texted all his friends to say goodbye to them all so who knows...

That's uncalled for. Before he passed out and went on life support Bestie spoke highly of you.

Anyone got eny jokes? Here's mine:

Prof Williams goes to see George Best:-

Prof: "George, I've got good news and bad news."

George: "Give me the bad news."

Prof: "You have one hour to live."

George: "What's the good news?"

Prof: "It's Happy Hour !"

I see no reason to take part in this farce of a polling.

And why now? Why wasn't it part of the original G.B. Thread? Shameful waste of title space if you ask me.

Well, go on.......ask me!

Do leave off. How is drinking yourself to death demonstrating the will to live?

millwall, I wish you would read my post before commenting on it. I meant the "will to live" in the context of George continuing to fight his illness while in critical condition. Many people had thought that he was going to die 3 weeks ago and had written him off, but he is still alive.

Ive ranted on about this pathetic wa**nker elsewhere plenty , but as he is now going to die I hope here's one last word.

This man has become the icon that destroyed football and introduced us to the drunken fan , he also has a part in propogating the culture that is accpeted as normal behaviour , go out and get falling down drunk , start a fight , throw up , get arrested , and embarrass yourself and your sountry . Cracking just another friday night out.

He has wasted probably the best opportunity a celebity has had to promote tyhe causes and effects of alcoholism , to raise awarness and money for treatment and to put and end to our drink culture . This man is guilty of a wasted life , good riddance , and I for one will be dropping by to p*ss on his grave.

Oh yeah , I am an alcoholic , I am sober .

All Deathlist people where ever you roam

It seems George Best will soon become a product of disappointment alot

like how Peter Jennings was earlier in the year. I'm guessing he will not

wait to enter the heavens as we would like him too.

Having life support that is said to be disconnected in the

next day or so if he fails to improve - Sadly it looks like

he will be a miss. :P

Yeah, he has been a mite poorly of late.

But I'm sure he'll soon be resting comfortably.
