Ok, it seems all Tupac Shakur related info goes in here....

...his stepfather Mutulu Shakur is supposedly dying of cancer but his compassionate release was denied because his death is not that close:

Mutulu is also a musician in his own right and a notorious underground activist.

I guess that makes Tupac's stepfather Notorious BIG.

When was the last time a rapper died in some sort of mundane domestic tragedy, like carbon monoxide poisoning or forgetting to put the handbrake on in their Bentley??

Trying to think, the last "name" rapper I can remember dying in a non-gun-related accident was when Shawty Lo's Audi hit a tree. His coffin was briefly held in state at his favourite strip club.

A San Francisco rapper, Lil Yase, has been identified as the victim of a homicide early Saturday morning, Dublin police said Sunday.

The 26-year-old up-and-coming rapper, whose real name was Alexander Mark Antonyyo Jr., had been brought to ValleyCare Medical Center in Pleasanton at about 1 a.m. Saturday, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

I went to Detroit to see if all of D12 were still alive, but I couldn't find any Proof.

Two photos: first of corner of 7 Mile & Runyon as shown in D12 album from 2004; second from Sir Creep drive by a few days ago.

Damn.  I saw these guys on the Def Jam I tour (Run DmC, Whodini, LL Cool J).  The punk community loved ‘Freaks Come Out at Night’ it was a crossover anthem that’s for sure.

John “Ecstasy” Fletcher, member of the early, influential hip-hop group Whodini, has died at the age of 56, People reports. A cause of death has yet to be revealed.

Based out of Brooklyn, Whodini recorded six studio albums in total, producing 14 charting singles including “One Love,” “Friends,” “Five Minutes of Funk,” “Freaks Come Out at Night,” “The Haunted House of Rock,” and more, with crossover hit “Friends” cracking the Billboard Hot 100 in 1984.

Turns 45 in July which is 90 in rapper years, extremely long controversy section on Wikipedia, which is normally a good sign for being a chance of outside bet.

Duke Bootee, one of rap's pioneers, having co-written the iconic song 'The Message' for Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, has died. He was 69. Was also in the video for 'Sun City', which is probably a thread somewhere for people who were in it, but are now dead.
