Wow, that was quick!

I read yesterday that he had been in hospital for some time. But his family said he was doing "okay". Guess not.

They'd likely read his will before making that statement!

The german version was always more cynical. The open secret is that you are not going to become a star by winning this. You'll have maybe one good year at most. So the casting well dried up a long time ago.

JR/LS a couple of geniuses.

No, you cloth-eared heaps of anteater's catarrh -- GCReptile's prediction came true as per the zodiacal signs, the horoscopic fates, the astrological portents, the omens, the genethliac prognostications, the manta logical harbingers, the Vaticinal utterances, the feticidal premonitory uttering of the manta logical omens!  Only GCR knows what they predict, forecast, prophesise, foretell, prognosticate, presage, portend, foreshow, foreshadow, forerun, herald, point to, betoken, indicate...

Ah, a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Though, to be precise, only half came true, so far. A Grace Slick still needs to die today.

Wouldn't it be cool we ALL sign on to my Grace's obit, and post our 'memories' of her: 'You were unforgettable at Woodstock!' stuff like that. Really fill up her memories section and make her relatives feel great.  They probably can't believe some clown hasn't done that already.   Cmon people, are we all on board? For a wee fun?

Thought you lived within striking distance of Ginger Baker's last home...those must be lengthy trips to kiss the tarmac in the Bay Area

When I saw the late Dave Swarbrick perform a few years ago, he talked about a night out with Grace Slick in the early 1970s, saying it was a memory he treasured.   Someone in the audience asked if they took acid together, but as Swarbrick was deaf as a post by this point, he never replied.

I wish! I'm sure the weather would be better for starters. She doesn't live in the Bay Area, hasn't done for a long time. Paul Kantner stayed around there until the end though.

Paul Barrere, guitarist with Little Feat since 1972, is suffering from liver cancer, not that this has generated much in the way of news. I'd say he's obitable on the basis I got points on the 2010 DDP for Little Feat's drummer Richie Hayward....who died of liver cancer. :(

Paul Barrere dead.

Just heard this on BBC radio round up - and that on the day Trump gets the head of IS killed, someone at the BBC loves Little Feat. Fair play to anyone who had him on the DDP
