Surprised Fletch went before Gahan and Gore who I suspect have done a lot more drugs. I wonder who'll be the last member of Depeche Mode to drop if we throw Alan Wilder and Vince Clarke into the mix as well.

Fuckin' amazed he died with CSNY all still breathing, one way or another Depeche Mode set off to see out that generation of self-indulgent hippies!

Dave Gahan did cover a Neil Young song on his solo album released last year, oddly enough!

AFAIK Erasure's most recent tour was cancelled as Vince Clarke's wife has stomach cancer.

Jim Seals of Seals & Crofts.
I find it's posting solely in the absurd 'UK Singles' thread an abomination.

Consider it fixed

Jim Seals of Seals and Crofts, 'Summer Breeze' fame dies (msn.com)

Radio Four just covered it - Seals and Crofts never troubled a UK chart. Think their highest profile was probs having a film clip on the Whistle Test. So, that mention was mainly on the back of being half the writing credit on Summer Breeze.

This went under the radar but apparently the musician Dino Esposito who was briefly semi-popular in the late-80s, early 90s suffered a pretty serious heart attack in early 2020. From the looks of it he was in bad, bad shape. It's not known his current condition though.

Justin Bieber cancels concerts because his "illness is getting worse" :skull:

He's now been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt-syndrome, which has paralyzed half of his face:

Hm, my boss had something similar once, after he came back from a holiday. Back then, he said nobody knew what it was. It disappeared after a week, but apparently less than half of the people with it recover completely.

The wedding's on hold, obviously, while we are in the middle of the 'rona.

Samantha, now Sam, Fox has a "growth" in her throat:

If it's a polyp (which tend to occur on just one vocal fold), they are completely benign... though detrimental to the voice, which is not great for a singer.

Considering how it felt like "Smile" was never off the radio/adverts in the late 90s, mad that it only made #23 in the hit parade.

Not a death.

Marty Wilde showed up on Talking Pictures this week. He's 83 now and he looks great for his age!

The Reaper proclaimed to Manny: "Now YOU'RE messing with a son of a bitch!"

(I hate that you people don’t even try.  This one was too easy)

Several months of radio silence on John Ashton of The Psychedelic Furs. Still alive, but now they are auctioning off a guitar for the fund:

One original member of The Delfonics left, Wilbert Hart, brother of Poogie.
