Noel McKoy, soul singer who hit the UK charts first with his family band McKoy in March 1993 with Fight (#54) has had various reports of his death, but this seems a concrete one:

He had a little more success as featured artist on the James Taylor Quartet hit Love The Life which reached #34 in April 1993:

Aaron Carter dead at age 34 (Didn't realize he had his own thread until after posting)

Not surprised and I just feel sorry for his family. Drugs and whatever else mentally was going on really fucked with him.

Aye, you and me both - loved them to the point Double Negative was album of the year on a radio show very close to my heart four years back.

Can't believe he's not mentioned before.

Dan McCafferty, lead singer of Scottish rockers Nazareth, dead at 76.

One of the greatest cover songs. Everly Bothers' Love hurts.

Chris Koers, founding member of Dutch prog rockers Earth and Fire dead at 74.

I don't knowif they are known outside The Netherlands but they scored massive hits in the early 70's. I would not be surprised if these show up in a Quintin Tarrantino movie

Only a couple of the original members of Earth And Fire are left now. I read recently that singer Jerney Kaagman is in a nursing home and has Alzheimer's.

She is suffering from Parkinson's disease. Her partner and bass player for E&F as well as Focus died in March this year.
