I know it's posted.http://www.udiscovermusic.com/chris-squire-r-i-p

But he was my favorite person in the music industry and my heart is broken.

RIP Chris Squire

Sir Creep

yes will not be the same without him

"It’s with the heaviest of hearts and unbearable sadness that we must inform you of the passing of our dear friend and Yes co-founder, Chris Squire. Chris peacefully passed away LAST NIGHT in Phoenix Arizona, in the arms of his loving wife Scotty."

Accordingly, he died on my birthday. Just fucking great. Well, get to amend my post in that extra-curricular thread.

Entwistle also died on my birthday I case any of you are thinking of beating Sir Creep on bass players dying on your birthday.

Aye, the only ever present Yes man too, so any claim a future line makes to actually be Yes is slightly more suspect from now on.

I wonder if it's a 3 disc set featuring all of their final concerts or like so many other bands, it's a mix of all 3.

Dave Somerville, original lead singer of Canadian vocal group The Diamonds, is unwell and in hospital.

I see he studied acting under Leonard Nimoy. Let's hope he doesn't follow the 2015 method that Leonard did earlier this year.

I'm off to listen to some Diamonds music...

I can't find any details on the prognosis, but I'm assuming since they're only wishing to raise about $50,000 that the prognosis is promising.

Should've mentioned this glorious blog site before now. Ill Folks celebrate musical eccentricity in general but have a particular bent for blogging downloads of the recently deceased and highly obscure.

Jack Carlson, tenor with The Room(m)ates, died back on June 12, beyond which I have no info. http://www.oldiesmusic.com/news.htm

Here's the entry from the page: Jack Carlson, first tenor and falsetto singer with the Room(m)ates died Friday (June 12). The group was formed at Sage Junior High in Queens, New York and recorded for the Valmore label, owned by their managers. Their first hit recording was actualy as a backup to Cathy Jean Giordano (who they never met until the song was released) on her recording of "Please Love Me Forever" (#12-1961), but they then charted on their own with "Glory Of Love" (#49-1061). However, subsequent recordings both wih and without Cathy Jean failed to chart and the quartet disbanded in 1965. Jack later moved to Littleton, Colorado.

One we missed. Willie C Jackson, the last original member of The Spaniels, died back in February. http://www.chicagotribune.com/suburbs/post-tribune/news/ct-ptb-last-spaniels-obit-st-0226-20150225-story.html

And to think I was only watching the BBC Four series Rock 'n' Roll America and who is there in Episode 1? http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0615nmw/rock-n-roll-america-1-sweet-little-sixteen. I highly recommend this series if you want to put a team together for next year.

Anyway, here's Goodnight Sweetheart Goodnight: https://youtu.be/X4p9RSShJcA
