After the Michael Jordan "The Last Dance" docuseries ended last night, and with both episodes last night featuring the Bulls' wins in the Finals over the Utah Jazz in 1997 and 1998, Karl Malone is asking for prayers for Sloan.

Sloan has been diagnosed with Lewy Body dementia, which seems to burn faster than the garden variety Alzheimers dementia. Diagnosed in 2016, so it could be getting close based on statistics.

Yeah, I believe the usual life expectancy with Lewy body is 5-7 years, but he also has Parkinson's.  And when you look at those July 2019 reports that he was "dying", and when you combine that with Malone's public pleas yesterday, it paints a pretty grim picture.  Maybe he sees 2021 (I'm guessing not, though), and if he does, he should be a popular joker candidate for teams next year.

Thought about hiding this, but there’s a lot of coverage of his diagnosis.

Will easily get a QO as he was a star player in arguably the most famous finals game before the  Bird/Magic  Era   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1976_NBA_Finals#Game_5

He's in the Naismith Hall Of Fame, so he most definitely will.  He might see 2022, but will obviously be a good pick next year.  Chris Doleman made it 2 years with glioblastoma, so it's certainly possible to last 17 months, which Westphal would have to do.  Average is 12-18 months, if I recall correctly.

Cliff Robinson dead

His name might not mean a lot to a lot of fans, but having lived in the area for a while, he was truly loved in the city.
