Looks like he might not die soon after all

He's trying to keep active, but it's evident that he is in failing health

Zsa Zsa has been confined to her bed for the past few years. So unless she's got a stack of crossword and wordsearch books by her bed, I don't know how she's keeping active.

Problem is, she's blind/deaf/mute/paralyzed/almost unconscious/etc. so she can't do crosswords and wordsearch.

She's still in better shape than the girlfriends of the members of the losing team will be 20 minutes after they get home from the Super Bowl.

Mikhail Gorbachev (or Gorby as he was affectionately known ) became leader of the USSR 30 years ago today ! Without him the world might have been blown up in a nuclear war by now !

Hmmm, the Norwegian Minister of Defence has tweeted that Gorbachev has died. https://twitter.com/IneSoreide/status/694522245960572928

Ah well, let's see. No confirmation as yet.

Why would the minister of defence for Norway be the one to break the news?

Good question. Looks like a fairly new account too so it may all be bollocks, but hey, give her credit if it's true.

Sweet coincidence. Earlier today I had a conversation about a former world chess champion, whose name, my partner was certain, was Gorbachev.

Maybe that's who's died.

He's not dead. In fact, he's becoming critical of Putin.

But all this talk of new threads today and Boris's anniversary makes me ponder how Gorbachev has somehow, despite rumours of ill health frequently, never chalked up a single Deathlist appearance. A bigger surprise than the lack of a John Wetton or (Insert Italian actress here).

Goodness I hadn't realised that he's never appeared on the official deathlist.

He's an absolute pivotal figure in the history of the late 20th century.

Mikhail Gorbachev is a former Soviet Union Soviet statesman.

He was the eighth and last leader of the Soviet Union, having been General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union from 1985 until 1991. 87 years old on 2 March 2018, it is the last legend of the USSR .He is very weak at the last news. Wait and see...

Another person bamboozled Gorby's never made it onto the actual Deathlist.
