When Deathlisters Go Shopping

Recommended Posts

Hello CarolAnn and welcome to the DL! :P

I've just bought some great paint to decorate my son's room. It's all Crayola stuff, all really bright colours, plus some Chalkboard paint, some Magnetic paint and some Glow-In-The-Dark paint! I love decorating and I'm soooo excited!

Oh my God, I am so sad.

This site has some nice things for girlies.

I think scsibear should get Lady G a pole for her / his birthday.

It'd go with her thigh- length boots. It's about time they were mentioned on DL again :P

Multi-award winning Kitten-pole my arse. That's a 20 euro extendable shower curtain rail from Castorama. Except floor to ceiling rather than wall to wall. Bloody rip off!!!

For many years I have collected comics, guns, swords. I thought of wives, but the current Mrs Ravenstorm seems to object. Can\'t think why.

Wife collecting isn\'t that a Mormon thing.

It's that time of year again. Have already done most of our Christmas shopping but looking for ideas for the last few bits, also what to buy teenagers and women? Ideally something unusual, not too expensive. What are others buying? Bought a few Panettone cakes - good because they're large in bright red boxes (I like boxes) and look very presenty, and you eat them.

Tempting...

Do they make rugs to order? I can think of better things I'd like to see splattered across the road. :D

Maybe you'd like a stuffed toy to go with your new rug Windsor?

I want to buy this but I'm afraid it would leave me too poor. :banghead:

Perhaps a little over priced, but I won.

A pretty little bauble, but what do you do with it?

Do you wear it while strutting around your local environs?

Then next time I'm in London, I shall get my photograph taken in front of Buckingham Palace whilst displaying the badge. I will then show it to my dim friend and tell him he has to address me as 'Sir' from that point on. :D

Only Joking. It will sit in it's case on a unit beside the rest of them.

For £799 I'd be expecting it to make me breafast in bed, do the dishes and the laundry!

I was offered £1000 for it yesterday from a medal collector. I declined.

Not bad when you consider that we have gone through a global recession since I posted that 4 years ago. :P

This thread is an interesting read - shame most of the links no longer work.

Today I bought a stick of beeswax and a quince tree.

What a pointless bump. Pretty sure this thread pre-dates Amazon.

I don't see why it's pointless.   I was going to start a shopping thread but was careful to search first and found an existing thread which entertained me for a while.  Others may also enjoy its randomness.

WTF has Amazon got to do with it?   My purchases yesterday were made at an outdoor event, not hunched over a laptop in a basement.

Because it's an ancient fucking thread. It's utterly pointless. Most forums lock threads this old for a reason.

And good for you you probably paid double the actual worth of the items and wasted petrol money.

And I'll ignore the basement jibe, you wanker.

Actually the type of quince tree I bought is £45 here  (and that's a reduced price).  I paid twenty quid.  :P

And no delivery charges.

Yep, anything old must be utterly shite, decrepid and, if human, euthanised.

Hey, only what is young and youthful are entitled to propagate the forums and planet earth, eh!:D

There's nothing wrong with old.

There's a fuck load wrong with bumping a dead in the water ancient fucking thread just to tell us you bought some bloody plants. There's a fucking status update thread more suited to that crap.

No need to chuck your pacemaker out of your zimmerframe, Old chap.
