Cerberus 302 Posted June 7, 2005 Welcome Megan, are you going to stick around? We need a replacement for someone called "Miss Amanda", you see. But please don't take offence if some of us occasionally pass comment on your spelling.

Guest Guest Posted June 28, 2005 Right Teddy, Megan - you are as proficient a speller as my 5 year old. Must pass your posts as bad spelling/grammer, in my book, suggests Neandertholic processing. Again, Get it straight - "loving" his music and his lyrics is different from "loving him" as a person - what does that mean? Idolizing him, respecting him, literally loving him? Seriously, who could love a drug addict other than another addict or someone in denial? No one is capable of having a meaningful relationship with an addict because the primary relationship an addict has is with their poison of choice, NOT YOU. Perhaps when she matures... Guest Guest Posted June 28, 2005 Mea culpa, no offence to Cerebus for not citing contribution to spelling errors. It's early and I've no sleep but still have to get mein Kind off to school... Taste and sanity not withstanding...

football_fan 42 Posted July 3, 2005 Pete Dohery was just awful in the live 8 duet with Elton John. It looks like all of that heroine use is taking a heavy toll on him Drug-Addled Doherty Fails To Wow Live 8 The Babyshambles rocker could barely stand up when he hit the stage to sing T-Rex hit "Children Of The Revolution" with Elton John, but according to onlookers, his behaviour became even more worrying in the VIP area afterwards. Boudicca 702 Posted July 3, 2005 Heroine addiction is the scourge of society as we know it. It is thought to be hereditary, and it just gallops in my family. My mother's "thing" of choice was Barbara Cartland. My grandmother was more of a Catherine Cookson fiend.

Larry Pestilence III 6 Posted July 4, 2005 Well, I've finally seen Pete Doherty in action. Not exactly a life-changing event. Shame he won't last long. And for once, posting completely on topic, I can add that he gets my vote for DL 2006. Or at least for Greasy pasty white junky 2006...

Windsor 2,233 Posted July 8, 2005 So, acting upon alias' post - how long do you think you have left DL members? In order to keep the thread relevant to the title do you think you will die before or after Pete Doherty?
Cerberus 302 Posted July 9, 2005 Well I'm a "youthful" 42, so I'd like to think I have a while longer, though I suppose I must be somewhere around the half-way line. I only know a couple of Libertines and one Babyshambles songs and from what I've heard the amount of column inches generated by this buffoon is considerably in excess of his talent. However, as it seems he's determined to do a Jimi Hendrix before long I suppose he ought to be on the 2006 list, assuming he makes it that long.
