He's not exactly travelling the length and breadth of the country is he? He's putting his affairs in order so far as I can see. If anyone reports on him ordering a Christmas tree I'd be very surprised.

76 Today.

Looking on Sky Sports News, he is looking frail and looks as if he is unable to walk without help.

Despite this, I reckon he will survive 2009.

Just seen him in the crowd at the Newcastle v Pompey match on TV. Looking podgy-faced and pale and not at all well. I reckon he's got a couple of months at most.

Looks like both Newcastle and Sir Bobby are dead and buried...

Aye, but Sir Bobby will - probably - live long enough to see them, go down. Whether he'll be glad he hung on.....is another question.

Well he's still with us, but having seen him wheeled around St James' Park for the Bobby Robson Trophy or whatever it's called, one wonders for how long...

If he makes it to 2010 he'd be doing very well indeed...

Lived long enough to see the barcodes banished from the flight though. Summat that went down exceptionally well in the NW. What it did for Sir Bobby's famous resialiance is another question.

Indeed. He looked bloody awful - very old and very frail.

Guest Andrew

The final whistle has blown. He was sick as a parrot but ow he's over the moon (or somewhere). Its a game of two halves and he's in the third half now. Time to change the kit. They think its all over. It is now.

That's really sad ... but I have the consolation that he was my DDP joker

How thick do I feel? For EVER I thought that Bryan Robson was Bobby Robson's son. It's only now that I'm reading obits that I realise I have been wrong all this time :skull:

Chose him on my theme team, which is enough for me.

Only pain is that I won't update the site until Monday, so he could've done me a favour & hang on for a few more days & it would be more "convienent".

Almost certain that this is the biggest update I've done on the DDP, but it shouldn't be too bad unless Biggs goes as well..... :skull:

Some of the greatest men of our time have been called Bobby. Bobby Kennedy, Bobby Charlton, Bobby Davro and Bobby Ball to name a few.

Sad news, also a shame that Newcastle got relegated in the same year.
