Just read this on Facebook about Sevco 5088.  Dunno how true it is, hopefully very true

Just passing this on, don't shoot the messenger.....

Douglas Parks business has been in effective administration & has been run by the bank for the last 18 months. The bank have now instructed that Park sell the car sales part of his business immediately, all of this because he believed King, and King has rode him bareback. His loans to Sevco have been converted into worthless shares and he possibly has lost anything up to €12.5m propping up Kings ego/mouth. And King had the balls to ask him to put in another €2m last week so that they could pay the 1st instalment of the Swedish guy & their legal teams bills. Who by the way are working strictly on a cash basis only. Celtic are planning around them going bang again. Top it off, Dorrans, Murphy have been told to leave & if they don't think they will be training with the youths. Barasic has been told that he has no future and should be looking for a new club. The problem is that no one in Croatia will be or are paying anyone over €20k per week to any player there. They've left 5 people behind the scenes go just so they can make payroll for the players. Hummel have withheld the €1.4m start of the season bonus coz of the Commercial deal fiasco. Jimmy Bell has been busy buying kit without badges from the Hummel UK guy and then getting the badges etc put on. They're f#cked

If they do go again will this be the pattern now? Go into admin, reanimate,Spend 3/4 years getting back to the top another 3 /4 seasons at the top then bust again. They'll run out of mugs to give them money hand over fist surely soon?  If they're unsustainable they need to stay gone or cut their cloth accordingly.

Gerrard is a good manager and the reason they're even remotely close to the top. He will leave first prem job he is offered.

Surprised Gerrard didn't leave for Derby.  Thought he would of been a perfect fit to replace Frank  Lampard

I suspect that the 'alleged' issues he had with a local crime Lord and his 'protector' getting done in a gangland hit was the primary reason he went North of the border to start with.

You could also play around with that theory and apply it to Garath Bale who has family members up to their necks in bother making Spain far enough away and another reason why he has not been in any rush to return home.

Maybe.

Bury FC have 8 hours 45 minutes to find a buyer (or more importantly convince Steve Dale to sell at a loss) or they'll be expelled from the EFL.

That'll be SEVEN hours and 18 minutes, then.

Really sad situation, frankly. In a related matter I saw a video clip of the chairman who took Carlisle to the brink of extinction - Michael Knighton - bigging up a book about his attempt to take over Manchester United, something he did before taking over moribund Carlisle.

Absolute horrible situation (both there and Bolton). It's one thing to have a shite owner but to have one willing to let your club go to bang point is absolutely horrendous.

Suprised a League One or Conference team haven't publicly attempted to do a MK Dons/Wimbledon FC with it. Although I'm sure they might have tried in private.

How can he really sell it at a loss when he paid, iirc, a pound for it?

He is another one of lifes cunts who feel that, because they have thrown shitloads of their own money at something, they have added that amount of money to its value and, consequently, they are entitled to get some other mug to repay that ill advised expenditure.

This will not be the last shitbag to take a loved and famous club to the cliff edge.

I'd assume like any investor a loss by his standards will be however much money he's put into the club on top of the £1 to pay off debt etc. But I agree he's a cunt who should never have passed the fit and proper persons test:

Quote

Steve Dale is a businessman who took over control at Bury in December 2018, buying the club from former chairman Stewart Day for £1. A worrying 43 of the 51 companies Dale has been associated with have been liquidated.8 hours ago

The reality is even if Bury FC folds, a Bury Football club will rise out the ashes like Wimbledon AFC, Aldershot, Maidstone United. They'll just have to get use to lower league football.

The 5pm Deadline for Bury FC to avoid expulsion from the EFL has passed with no sign of them meeting their requirements.

Bolton Wanderer's also have an anxious to see what there probable liquidation will mean for their league place.

Honestly, even if both are 'saved' they will be back in the shit within a couple of seasons.

I'm not certain but I thought I read that Bolton were multiple millions in debt?

Who the fuck is going to put money into a club that is totally fucked like that?

The best bet for them is to do an AFC Wimbledon.

How many deadlines and extensions are there going to be? They're like stringing the fans along and playing with there emotions.  As LFN said who is going to throw away millions on bury or Bolton?

Sometimes things are too broke to fix and it will be like this in a few seasons time again. They should liquidate and start again. But would if be financially viable with so many Manchester clubs?

Manchester as a city can only support  so much and already there's 8 Manchester based league clubs (man u, mancity, oldham, wigan,Rochdale, bury, Bolton,Salford)with the two big Manchester clubs taking the lion's share of fans and money. Leaves the others fighting for scraps, even man city struggle to fill their ground.

It's Bury that have been given and extension, Bolton won't disappear for a few weeks yet (and the fact they're still fielding teams - albeit youth players - makes it less likely they'll disappear at all).

Bury is "only" a £3.5m in debt. A wealthy Manchester based businessman with an emotional attachment could probably get the club out of immediate trouble, although as you say it would be buying time unless the wider financial issues with the club could be sorted out. And if even if such a person existed, FFP would given them and the EFL the mother of all headaches.

Regards Bolton, what I don't understand is there in far less debt than they were a few years (£43m as oposed to £172m, most of which has been paid to the tax office, yet it's now they're being hurtled towards a winding up petition. Yes they've got financial issues, but it's not like they haven't been making progress. I'm sure someone with greater financial nouse than me can explain it, presumably the people who haven't seen any of the money are fed up waiting?"

Maybe it's just me, but some players on 1/2 a million quid a fucking week, and some of those largely sitting on a bench whilst this happens? What the actual fuck is happening in this world? Football is a microcosm of that (recently deceased, haha take that) cunt Koch.

To repeat, maybe it's just me. but i'm fucking fed up of it.

NB. I don't blame the 24 million a year guys, it's not them....

Meh.

Sad times indeed but kinda inevitable as discussed above.

Hopefully they're fans can at least do an AFC Wimbledon and put something together as a local team to apply to the non-league system either next year or the year after.

It's not even Fort William (no offence, I love them) we're talking about here, these are teams only one step down. It's insane.
