msc 18,480 Posted August 27, 2017 According to poster on Pie and Bovril (yeah, I went to check for details, before Detective Charon asks ), jumped over a wall, into the Kelvin. What fucking wall? If you're coming to it from Dumbarton Road, you couldn't help but notice the fucking river.
msc 18,480 Posted August 28, 2017 Suicide attempt, imo. Police named the area as the Benalder Bridge. There is a brick wall you could imagine an idiot jumping over and not noticing the bloody bridge right in front of them, but it's on the other side of the river from the Sanctuary night club. Could he have left the nighclub and got over to that side of the river bank first? Not without noticing there was a big fucking river in the way. The other option is he walked through the carpark to the accom on the river bank on the Dumbarton Rd side at the bridge. If they did that, you can tell from car park level there's a bloody river. At the very least, you can hear the damned thing. Something's happened and he's tried to respond to jumping into a particularly shallow and rocky bedded bit of a fast flowing river. Two other facts. Emergency services were called at 2.30am. He wasn't rescued till 4am. Which implies its own story about what happened next. The Kelvin is freezing. There's a drag current as that's a few hundred metres away from the mouth into the River Clyde. Reports say hypothermia, if he escapes with that, and that alone, he's a bloody luck chap. Put it this way, he's not going to be on the teamsheet this weekend...
charon 4,943 Posted August 28, 2017 Interestingly, there was a thread on follow follow the previous night about something very similar a poster heard whilst near the river, but not at the same location. I can't link to it as A/you'd need to have 250+ posts to see it and B/ thread now deleted. No reason to think linked, but 'interesting'....

charon 4,943 Posted September 9, 2017 Buford might like this.... The ongoing coverup by the SFA re the death of old Hun club was reignited by the Celtic fc leak to The Times over a 5 year old letter to the SFA from Celtic. Its rumbled on, with the Officials jobs with the huns being highlighted, however the Popes 11 released this statement just there. IN the light of all information that has now become available, Celtic has been in correspondence with the Scottish Football Association in pursuit of the Club’s belief that an independent review should be commissioned to consider the events that led to the liquidation of Rangers Oldco and the governance issues arising from those events. This is exactly the same position as adopted by the SPFL board on behalf of all Scotland's 42 professional clubs. The Club believes that such a review is essential if a line is to be drawn under this whole affair. On that basis, Scottish football could learn lessons and move on. The Club considers, however, that failure to carry out a full review of these events and issues, which have been without precedent in Scottish football, would represent a failure in transparency, accountability and leadership. Celtic was, therefore, disappointed to note that the Scottish Football Association board has confirmed that it does not intend to commission such a review. Throughout these processes, Celtic's consistent objective has been to establish the full facts, which is surely the least that all stakeholders in Scottish football - including the supporters of all clubs - are entitled to, and to learn the appropriate lessons. That remains our position. With the agreement of the Scottish FA, recent correspondence between the Club and the Scottish FA can be accessed using this link http://www.celticfc.net/news/13207 Shots fucking fired ya cheating bigots

Where did they expect 6 for friends tickets to go when they're for a match that nobody could be arsed attending in the first place?

msc 18,480 Posted September 15, 2017 Yes, but that's because British football fans, en masse, tend to be wankers. Vast majority of Koln fans were peacefully excited and mingling in both ends of the arena like they do every single week in Germany with hooligan antics a rarity. No wonder Brexit won, if people are intimidated by their own shadow, tbh.

They fought with stewards and other fans to commandeer about four times more space in the away end than they were entitled to. Not very peaceful.
