Senior IPS officer Himanshu Roy (54), a former head of the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and Mumbai crime branch shot himself with his personal licensed revolver at his south Mumbai residence on Friday. Roy, who was afflicted with bone-marrow cancer and had been on medical leave for two years, shot himself in his mouth around 1 pm. One of the men, Dubliner Daniel Doyle (31), appeared in the TV crime drama Love/Hate and has worked as a fitness model.
