Gamer Byron Bernstein, otherwise known as Reckful who gained popularity playing games like World of Warcraft and Heartstone on Twitch and YouTube, died at 31 years:

He had more than 250,000 subscribers on YouTube.

Hours before committing suicide, Byron proposed to his ex-girlfriend (that he hadn't seen in 6 months) via Twitter. She didn't see the tweets until it was too late.

I may as well say this here as anywhere else.

I hate the use of surnames only when referring to people in articles and reports.  It seems so cold and disrespectful.

It can also be unnecessarily confusing when more than one person with the same family name is involved.  Surely much clearer to use the full name for the first mention, and subsequently forenames.

This habit seems more prevalent in the USA than in the UK, though increasing in the latter.

Can I  mention that 'died by suicide' is  rather irksome too.

I know it's not the done thing to say , committed suicide' these days as that dates back to when suicide was a crime but 'died by suicide' sounds ridiculous.

Sei Ashina / Ashina Sei, a Japanese actress with nearly two decades worth of credits in her home country, has died by suicide. She was 36. IMDB lists her as Sei Ashina, Variety has her as Ashina Sei. Whichever one she was, she isn't anymore.
