Seems like a lot of new members are joining in the past two days. Did we get mentioned on the internet or something during Brucie's death?

No, I first discovered the website in January, then decided to join the forums today.

It's what he would have wanted.

I am pretty he would have wanted to still be alive.

The Deathlist obituary is littered with grammar errors. Sad.

I had a feeling there'd be several massive deaths this weekend - simply because the last week was bereft of any B- or even C-list names.

Two words:

Jerry. Lewis.

Brucie's Price Is Right (for it was named such) was filmed at Yorkshire Television around the time I worked there.  Sadly I never had the chance to offer him a Mint Imperial and a chance to hide behind the giftshop curtain. In fact I never saw him at all, not even in the corridor :(

Strangely enough I had no knowledge of that guy.  Never knowingly saw him in any film or TV programme and wouldn't have recognised him if he'd sat down in front of me.

The other one, the Great Balls Of Fire chap, now him I did know about.

...and in front of an audience. Am I right in assuming both his ex-wives have seen him out; albeit the first one may not know too much about it as she sucks down soft foods in Brinsworth House

Aye, but the main prize surely would be a Dickie O sighting. Apart from owt else it'd give us the first legitimate reason in about ten years to post on his thread.

Private funeral so no form studying options re news footage of his showbiz pals arriving.

Bring on the promised "public memorial service" for that. I'm thinking maybe 24 March with them all walking past Brinsworth House as part of the whole thing!

BBC are broadcasting “Sir Bruce - a celebration” tonight recorded on what would have been his 90th birthday.

Rather incredible to see 94 year old Nicholas Parsons, 92 year old June Whitfield, 84 year old Joan Collins and 82 year old Michael Parkinson amongst others and wonder how they are quite so age defying......! They all look much much younger......!

Who will be next from that show? Parky? Robert Powell? Richard Stilgoe?

Or is it too much to hope that it's professional clothes horse and autocue reader Tess Daly?
