Dammit, it looks like its already too late to put him on the 2007 list, but David Rockefeller would have been a good pick as he will be 92 this year. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Rockefeller

ermm shouldn't it be ideas for 2008? :P

Or is it because your idea occurs in 2007, then... well you get the picture.

Anyway, I have an idea which is to give proper advice slips at cash machines / ATMs in banks. Rather than printing out your statement it should have things like, "don't wear brown shoes with blue trousers." which I think is fairly good advice..

coat... hat... ok I'm off

What about blue shoes with brown trousers? I have been known to pair them occasionally.

I'm a newbie so I missed entering my suggestions for this year.

However after watching "The Vicar of Dibley" I would suggest John Bluthell must be a contender for this years list.

Despite the 'hopeful' prognosis at this stage I say we keep an eye on ageing and overweight Jenni Murray who's having a bit of time off work to battle breast cancer. Not likely to cark it this year but her weight, which has always been on the high side, won't help her immune system and the Big C could stalk her like it has others. 2008, outside chance.

Dick Van Dyke is immortal. An American Clive Dunn, if you will...

Barbara Billingsley isn't a bad shout though - but seems to be in good health in the Santa Monica area.

Hmmm, I think we've already addressed him on the formula 1 thread. Isn't he the guy who was rumoured to have been found with his arm around two stunners at the same time by a hotel worker who'd brought up three breakfasts in bed. When the guy indicated he wasn't too impressed with being made to serve the food up in this way Shelby belched in his face.

Although it may mention Clinton as President, he didn't have heart surgery until the end of 2004, so the list must have been created at some point after that.

If he survives 2007, which I doubt, then H. Doug Ellis, former chairman of Aston Villa FC and now Life President, could be worth a punt.

He hasn't been well for a long time and looks to be going downhill fast.

As mentioned by DDT last year, Tomasi Kulimoetoke's condition has worsened.

SUVA, Fiji (Oceania Flash, Dec. 28) - Traditional Wallis island chiefs and villagers have this week for the first time paid bedside Holiday respects to the 87-year-old King of Wallis, whose health has been deteriorating for the past few weeks.

The King of Wallis, Tomasi Kulimoetoke, also known locally as the "Lavelua", was crowned in 1959.

He has been unable to attend several official ceremonies since August this year, French broadcaster RFO reports.

Several official ceremonies have since had to be held without his attendance.

This week, chiefly houses and well-wishers from Wallis islands paid their traditional Holiday respects to the King, but had to see him at his bedside.

They had brought gift and also offered prayers to the ailing monarch.

For the first time, one of the prominent village chiefs, Sione Initua Folau Fakate, the chief of Ahoa village, openly mentioned the King's poor health condition and went as far as making a reference to the person that "will replace him".

The BBC reports that Don Cameron, owner of the world's biggest hot air balloon company, has been diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

Speaking on his chances of survival (about 80%) he says:

"Although that is still more dangerous than Russian Roulette, it is better than I had feared."

I'd say summat about a certain accident last night but I'm aware of the problems of posting things too literally when nothing's been proved. Put it this way; they hadn't been going too long, the coach was fitted with seat belts, most of the walking wounded are telling the same story about it veering wildly from side to side and someone with his hands on the wheel at the time is helping the police. If he's out of work and/or having a holiday at her madge's pleasure this time next year he might be thinking dark self-harming thoughts. Might also be a passable deadpool pick where the rules reward you for any death that gets news coverage.
