Stayin Alive 26 Posted August 9, 2004 Ahhh, how moving. A fetching piece of electronic prose. I'm also disputing the "... and very two dimentional" thought, I think this picture proves she was every bit 3D: http://www.staroops.com/F/FayWray/ Oh, maybe you are saying she had dementia? Sorry, what were we talking about?
Our Sole 5 Posted August 9, 2004 This has probably been said before but.... this death malarchy is like waiting for a bus, none comes for ages and then you get three all at once....... No more monkey business for poor old Fay but cheers for picking up the flagging list....
Four Donkeys of the Apocolypse 0 Posted August 9, 2004 "She just kind of drifted off quietly as if she was going to sleep," he said. "She just kind of gave out." I thought all these Hollywood Actresses "Put Out"!

Four Donkeys of the Apocolypse 0 Posted August 10, 2004 And like the rest of the Hollywood troupe into the swinging lifestyle. (I do believe that's a double score).
Poetry Man 2 Posted August 12, 2004 Alas for Fay, it is time to say: "Hi Mate", To her co-starring hairy, long-dead, big old primate; Her name was a rhyme as in "Fay" and "Wray", But now she is gone, for live long day. Written in the style of E.J.Thripp, Private Eye.
Stayin Alive 26 Posted August 12, 2004 A big DeathList welcome, Poetry Man. I'm sure Ronnie Biggs will be more upbeat about things, after seeing this kind of devotion. Are you planning to write a poem for each new death?
Anubis the Jackal 77 Posted August 12, 2004 Hopefully Alexander Solzhenitsyn and General Pervez Musharraf won't die on the same day. that could lead to a terminal mangling of the language of Shakespeare, Wordsworth and Keats.
Teddy 21 Posted August 12, 2004 Written in the style of E.J.Thripp, Private Eye. An inspired choice, although you may wish to rethink your opening lines and adopt the standard So, Farewell then.... But in common with Stayin Alive, I hope we continue to see more cultural input into this organ
The Four Horsemen 26 Posted August 12, 2004 How about: "Next to die was Alexander Solzhenitsyn Probably best inform his next of kin" "General Pervez Musharraf is no more They'll be mourning from Karachi to Lahore" I'll get my coat.........
Poetry Man 2 Posted August 12, 2004 Am planning to respond, always in rhyme, Especially now, that I have the time, For 2005's list, with no blarney, I'd like to nominate, dear old Reg Varney. "'Urry up Arfer" was 'is call, When On the Buses was on the ball, Solzhenitsyn and Musharraf I will handle well, Especially if Arfer can ring his bell. So thanks for the welcome, from this side o' the pond, The Deathlist is something, of which I am enormously fond, And try as I may to make every verse rhyme Sometimes I might just not have the energy! Poetry Man August 12th - now leaving the building, to look for Grouse!
