Aye, but I think this is a sign. As Ernest would know well, the longer you wait, the better it tastes, or summat.

Gallo Pops His Cork.

Fine example of Gallo's humour there, ATJ.

Hopefully we'll have some London bus syndrome on the DL now.

Ernest Gallo is the 1st hit of 2007.

He is the 151st hit since 1987.

The 2007 deathlist is now in about 19th place out out a possible 21 lists.

Well who'd have thought that....

Didn't the other Gallo die a couple of weeks ago?

Someone could make a joke about this but it might be regarded as a bit gallo(ws)!

Don't worry, I've got me coat on...

He invented Thunderbird, so more a widowmaker than a winemaker. Judgement day should be interesting, more than a few ex-clients will be there to greet him no doubt.

Probably mostly still suffering from Thunderbird exposure, so he'll soon have many thousands of well deserved 'best f*ckin' mates'. :birthday2:

After picking a soon-to-be 98 year old we could be accused of going for low hanging fruit, but he was a wine maker after all.

Nice that the DL is the first match that comes up if you type "Ernest Gallo" into Google.

My husband has worked for the winery for 28 years, and I've had the honor of meeting both brothers, Ernest and Julio, in addition to many of the fine second AND third generations who are also in the industry. What a phenomenal family! I shall pray for his soul as it rests and works in Purgatory (only all you good Catholics out there would understand).

So we all had a drink last night. I always lose my mind when Deathlist has a hit. I'll say it again, it was about time.

I cringe when I see a bottle of Ernest and Julio Gallo wine, it's hardly the best stuff in the world, and they

were responsible for Thunderbirds, oh how that takes me back to a misspent youth...

I'd put Thunderbird in the same category as retsina, pepper vodka and reisling as the most disgusting things I ever drank.

Oh, and Sunny Delight.
