Don't forget Bouteflika!

Mubarak first, because I want to know which DL member pops up in the forums once he's dead.

Maybe misplaced.  Maybe not.
The son to General Johnson Thomas Aguiyi Ironsi, John Nnanyerem Aguiyi Ironsi has died at the age of 54.

Late John Nnanyerem, is the second son to the former Nigerian head of state.  He is survived by his wife and daughter.

He died at the Federal Medical Centre, Umuahia, Abia State, on Sunday, after a protracted illness.

I guess I was stunned that searching Aguiyi found nothing.

To close that embarassing chapter, David Granger is in remission:

I completely missed this at the time!

Although signs I've been on the DL forums a while: explaining to mrs msc that I was laughing reading a post by Reptile, and her instantly knowing who I meant without further explanation.

Hm, the lungs are slowly failing...in the end, people have to die of something.

Still, Joao Havelange lasted more than a year with those repeated lung issues.

But the commitee might consider Arap Moi, if he makes it.

Kibaki not hospitalized, went only for a "check up". Alert, extremely well, cheerful blah blah blah.

Also Moi's secretary has defined "hogwash" all rumors about Mzee Moi. Yep.

Jeez, he looks fantastic in that photo.  Just about scrubbed him from my list.  Then I looked closer- it's from 2002!

Since old fuckers of Kenya and Tanzania seem to be immortal, here is a challenge between six old political figures of the two countries. Last Country standing wins.

Kenya                                                                                                                                                          Tanzania

Charles Njonjo (1920)                  :dead:                                                                                                David Musuguri (1920)

Daniel arap Moi (1924)           :dead:                                                                                                        Ali Hassan Mwinyi (1925)

Mwai Kibaki (1931)                :dead:                                                                                                         Cleopa Msuya (1931)

Mama Ngina Kenyatta (1933)                                                                                                                  Mama Maria Nyerere (1930)

Moody Awori (1928)                                                                                                                                  Jamshid bin Abdullah of Zanzibar (1929)

Duncan Ndegwa (1925)                                                                                                                            John Malecela (1934)

Come on, come back into the averages of your Countries!
