Does that put you in the Top 10 OoO?

No, 'cos she weren't in my team this year - she was number 5 in my 2008 team.

Balderdash....She wouldn't have been worth many points anyhow...

He attempted to become President on six occasions, representing the Prohibition Party. :skull:

Diana Raffle playwright with a specialist line in the female heavy casts favoured by am-dram groups. Dead at 41 - apparently - can't find an obit anywhere, mind.

Pulitzer Prize winning author Norman Mailer has died aged 84... :skull:

Figures - the other day I was actually considering him for DDP but this way it makes my competitive approach a lot easier. It narrows down the names and most of all it minimizes the guilt of leaving promising candidates off.

A couple of very varying deaths to report:

Trisha Williamson, who used to be one of the main TV weather girls in the early 90's & whom I remember very well on Good Morning Britain has been killed in a car crash, aged 48.

and Delbert Mann, a movie director whose moment of glory came in 1956, when he won the Best Director Oscar for his film of the previous year, Marty, has died, somewhat more peacefully, from pneumonia.

Augustus F. Hawkins, oldest living congressman, has died at the age of 100. He lived a good life, so no qualms having picked him on my RDP.

Just saw in Mojo magazine that Hughie Tomasson founder member of country rockers The Outlaws is dead. Band reforemed last year with him still in tow. John Peel used to play them once over. Most famous in the UK - arguably - for the music paper review of their live album where the song 'Green Grass and High Tides' lasts for two whole sides and the reviewer claimed it had put him off guitar solos for life!

The rumour had been doing the rounds for a week or so but it has now been confirmed that Doctor Who director Peter Moffatt died on 21 October (can't find a link other than on Outpost Gallifrey).

I think the former skipper of the British Lions was on Cowboy Ronnie's super fun list. Looks like he has spoilt our fun by dying at least 6 weeks prematurely

Firstly, Paddon of Norwich. Great shame - most of the family are Norwich fans & this has been a miserable enough year with their current form to then have the great Johnny Gavin & now Graham Paddon die - Peter Mendham was jailed as well. Bad year for the Canaries.

I'm very sorry to see Gregory go - what a tragic end & what a fight against the disease. But I curse it a little bit as 6 weeks longer would've been a DDP bounty. Never mind, Evel Knievel will just have to do it instead.

Paddon may've made the news more, but two other football notables have died - Ken Leek, a member of the Welsh 1958 World Cup squad, and former Birmingham & Leicester favourite has died, aged 72, whilst Joe Shaw of Sheffield United, who held their record for most appearances has also heard the final whistle.
