Well, this fucker Harvey is a Cat 3 now.  I'm well out of the way, and Carol Ann is north of Dallas so safe too, but if any of y'all are anywhere near Houston/Corpus Cristi area, get the hell outta the way.   It's going to be a monster.

Dunno if you're currently in Louisiana or at work in West Texas, but stay safe either way. Both areas could still be hit by flooding rains.

Not bad weather at all this Labor Day weekend.

83 yesterday, 85 today.

First signs of fall are on their way, though.

Highs around 64-69 the rest of this week.

Donald Trump is planning to visit Florida shortly.

“I hope there aren’t too many people in that path. That’s a bad path to be in.” said Hurricane Irma in a press release, in response.

What I'd call the first proper hoolie (gale) of the Autumn this morning. Sea very rough with white horses with heavy showers. No late Summer this year!

Also very noticeable that the trees Oak and Ash are starting to turn now- which is very early for the South West of the UK. Anyone else spotted the trees are very Autumnal very early this year???

Lots of looters in Florida, taking advantage of the weather,

Funny how the skin tone of all those looters in the picture is a shade of brown, must be racism from The Independent.

That's very interesting.

I live in the US and we're also experiencing fall foliage very early this year (at least in the Chicago area).

Usually, at this time of year, the weather's still fairly hot and every tree is still green.

But one of my neighbors' trees has been full yellow for over a week now. Many maple trees have patches of red and orange near the top. My elm tree in the front yard has a patch of red at the top.

Of course, it's nothing major and still mostly green, but it feels like we're about 2-3 weeks ahead compared to most years.

Probably caused by the cool and dry end of summer we've had. I started school in mid-August, and it's been sweater weather at least half the time since.

#1 reason why some 'won't leave their homes' no matter how ugly an oncoming hurricane looks.  Sad really.

I used to think it said 'you want rice with that' and I assumed they were into Chinese takeways or summat.

A few photos I took driving from Orange, TX to Beaumont about 3-4 weeks after the hurricane/flooding.  Clean up trucks doing all they can, one house at a time.

Snowing right now where I live in Western Norway. Earlier today heavy rain. Snow is one month too early here this year. Surprisingly it is not really cold.

High of 67F here in Dallas today. Perfect weather in which to burn your house down when your turkey fryer falls over.
