In my grandparents' day, pop was usually Corona and delivered by the Corona man.   It came in glass bottles with a deposit which you got back when you returned the bottle.  I liked the limeade best.

Same idea only we had either Maine or Classic, loved the cream soda.

Cream Soda for the win. Nothing better on a hot day than Cream soda in a glass, topped up with a scoop of ice cream. Summer luxury.

Winter luxury...Creamola Foam.

T'was always American Cream Soda.

Agreed re Cremola foam, did they remake it after that old untouched tub was found?

Demise assured after Sodastream came on the market, like fondue sets and Simply Red CD's , sign of an aspiring wanker.

I know who Simply Red are, but I had to Google fondue sets (assumed it was sushi or something!) and Soda Streams.

Chippy run by this old guy near Glasgow Uni about 10-15 years ago. Used to sell the usual but also had some of them (like chips and cheese) on the menu on the wall in French as well as English. French ones were triple the price. Same portion size too. Apparently he made a pretty penny off uni folk and typical West Enders. One of the Glasgow geniuses, that.

We had a choice of Bon Accord or Alpine. There was a third, but I'm Buggered if I can remember it.

Yes it was on sale a few years back but it didn't taste as good.

And just to be boring and on topic I'm off booze and crisps, so far so good but Saturday night wasn't easy.

How's the not posting going @Joey Russ

I'm on a bit of a roll myself but staying under the radar for years is possible :ninja:

I'm not suggesting we all keep asking Joey questions so he has no choice but to post btw. That would be very unhelpful.

Hmmmm.

I am guessing the weird arse Church he claims to belong to is The Logos Apocalyptic Church of God.

They only give shit up for 40 hours, not 40+ day too, although he can't even manage that.

Head Mosque interestingly is in Milton Keynes.......

Happy to report, I've had no pancakes for the last 40 days.

How did everyone else do?

Interestingly I never eat pancakes, but a recent discussion led to commenting on Vermont syrup, which I've never ponied up the $$ to buy.
So of course this past week I did in fact spend over $10 US for syrup.  Got some organic pancake mix.  And promptly never got around to making any pancakes.
Now I'm back on a rig..... no pancakes for a month.
