Was he a barber or a hair fetishist?

He was a barber.

The barber's shop was situated just next to Putney BR Station

I would presume that Anubis had a great time on his birthday, judging from the party footage on his new avatar :dead:

I think Clive is a wonderful actor I don't want him to die yet! :D

Up until two weeks ago, I'd have partly agreed with you.

What could have happened in the past 2 weeks?

Did you somehow relize the imortal Clive Dunn wasn't so imortal after all?

Guest Robert

I used to sell Mrs. Dunn books, and even had the chance to ring him up in Portugal once to see if he wanted one he'd asked for. He seemed very with it to me and I have no doubt he's good for many years yet. You'd all be sorry if he died as he's surely the exception proving the rule on this site...

PS: I mean I sold Mr. AND Mrs. Dunn books, not that this was the point of my post. Not sure what the point was really...

Did you ever sell him Star Smashers of the Galaxy Rangers by Harry Harrison?

It`s a rollicking good read.

As there are so few left of the semi-regular/regular Dad's Army boys, which order do you think they'll pop-off?

I propose:

Bill Pertwee, Frank Williams, Ian Lavender, Clive Dunn

Wikipedia must be slipping up...

I presume it was someone from this site who added this to his entry:

"During the 1980s, he effectively disappeared from the screen, retiring to Portugal with his wife, enjoying the £1-a-bottle wine available in the Algarve."
