Rude Kid 3 Posted July 9, 2004 He's still alive, aged 78, according to imdb.com. I thought he'd be older than that as well.

Stayin Alive 26 Posted July 9, 2004 I don't think so, he always looked in great health on TV generally, even in his twilight years. No Jolly Holiday with Maury just yet.
Earl Gloomy 7 Posted July 9, 2004 There's me thinking that he had already snuffed it - But am i right in thinking some1 with the name Van Dyke died in the last few years.
Guest Annonymous Posted August 25, 2004 Dick Van Dyke is NOT dead. He did a special show "The Dick Van Dyke Show Revisited" only a few months earlier this year... I believe he is going to live on until he is in his 90's! He is my idol!!! Does everybody know he played Mr.Dawes Sr in Mary Poppins?

Banshees Scream 110 Posted July 31, 2005 Na way off. Dick van Dyke has atleast 4 or 5 more years left within him. As far as i'm aware there are no serious health problums known and he seems pretty stable at most of the award shows that are on once or twice a year. But if he does get any serious health problums then there might be some kind of consideration. Anyway how has Mary been. I know for sure she has had diabetes for some time now. Although with a couple face lifts "Probobly" she don't look to bad. I say that both have a couple years yet..
football_fan 42 Posted July 31, 2005 There is already an existing Dick van Dyke thread here. [ Mods, please merge them ] [Job done - DWB ]

Windsor 2,233 Posted July 31, 2005 Poor old Dick is going to have an unfortunate accident,I have had a premonition. I hate unregistered people who have premonitions. 9/10 they are wrong. (Is this another joke which I have failed to notice again)

Gunjaman5000 30 Posted August 1, 2005 An aspiring young actor seeks the help of an agent for the first time. "What's your name again son?" the agent asked. "Richard Light-Truck Lesbian sir" replied the actor. "Not snappy enough!" said the agent, "try Dick Van Dyke." The funniest and only Dick Van Dyke joke I am aware of. Goodnight Vienna 2 Posted October 18, 2005 Speaking of Mr Van Dyke.... Did you know that Lionel Jeffries who played his father in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang was actually a month or so younger than him... oh yes I think he is still very much alive too........ And the most anoying thing about Diagnosis Murder is if you are called Van Dyke then you get a part in the new series....... think the dog Rover Van Dyke played a part once too!!!??? Regards VIENNA xxxxx
maryportfuncity 10,644 Posted October 18, 2005 A couple of things: It's remarkable how much of his movie work has dated so badly that DVD's performances are still unavailable on the DVD format. When he does go we should celebrate his ridiculous performance in Mary Poppins by holding a good old cockney knees up.
Lady Die 63 Posted October 18, 2005 It's remarkable how much of his movie work has dated so badly that DVD's performances are still unavailable on the DVD format. With his initials his movies ought to be available on DVD

maryportfuncity 10,644 Posted October 18, 2005 With his initials his movies ought to be available on DVD That was the point I was making Lady Die. Maybe I'd better lose the subtle touch. MOST OF THEM AREN'T OUT ANYMORE COS THEY WERE SHITE ALL ALONG!!!!
maryportfuncity 10,644 Posted October 18, 2005 Rose Marie, 81, b. Aug 15th, 1923 (Sally Rogers) If she's the same Rose Marie that treads the boards as a lighweight country singer she's aged amazingly well!
