French police have opened an investigation into the reported disappearance last month of Meng Hongwei, the Chinese head of the international police organization Interpol, sources close to the inquiry told European news outlets on Friday. Meng was last seen leaving for China from Interpol's headquarters in Lyon, southeast France, in late September, the source said. His wife reported him missing.

Wasn't really 'missing', just getting the heavy duty 'talk' from the Government out of sight.

Result?

To pay a fine of £99m for tax evasion.

* and say how wonderful the Government is.

There might finally be some resolution in the long-running case of Suzy Lamplugh. If the rozzers have finally found the spot - just a thought - in the unlikely event she emerges alive; she'll be stunned at how much the price of houses has gone up since she last sold one!

A New York man unearthed what he believes are the remains of his long-lost father in the basement of his home Tuesday night, authorities said.

Michael Carroll 57, and his two adult sons were excavating the basement of the Lake Grove, New York home when they discovered what appeared to be human remains. They called police to the house about 2 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Suffolk County police said.  Carroll, who owns the house, told police he thought they belonged to his father, George Carroll, who disappeared in 1961. The four Caroll children never got a straight answer from their mother, Dorothy Carroll, about what happened to their father, police said. She died in 1998.

DJ Derek, apparently Britain's oldest DJ who used his fish-out-of-the-water-ness to achieve some global fame has been missing for three weeks:

False news re "the oldest" by the Mirror.

Don Disco has died and he a good bit older than DJ Derek.

Mountaineer Tom Ballard missing since Sunday.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-highlands-islands-47404814

His mammy was the first woman to do Everest unaided, but pegged on K2 in 95.

Was toying with Cup inclusion, but chances are he's already dead.
