Yeah may not have been a wise move to publicly shame an ex vice premier for sexual assault who can make you vanish quite easily.

I'm sure she is "only" under the usual house arrest. They are not so dumb to really make her disappear this way. She will appear again soon and probably the whole matter will finish here.

An investigation by Reporters Without Borders (RSF) has established that Birama Touré, a Malian journalist who disappeared six years ago, very probably died as a result of being tortured while secretly held by Mali's intelligence agency. RSF urges the Malian justice system to keep working tirelessly to shed light on this case.

After registering his upcoming marriage at Bamako's city hall and spending the afternoon with his family, Touré, set off for home on his motorcycle on the night of 29 January 2016. None of his friends and relatives has seen him since then.

Authorities in Colorado have found the remains of an aspiring model who vanished back in 2012, which police say were placed there by a 46-year-old man now charged with her murder.

On Tuesday, police announced the arrest of Joel Hollendorfer for the second-degree murder of 19-year-old Kara Nichols.

Nichols was last seen by roommates on October 9, 2012 and was reported missing five days later.

Her remains were found on Monday in a garbage bag that had been buried atop a horse grave on the farm Hollendorfer's parents own.

This belongs in the Dead Pop Stars thread, surely?   Bizarre to post someone in Missing when they've already been found ....

We could get into an extended discussion on deaths that fit in multiple threads, but that's standard for a lot of people who have passed. As for this thread, as far as I know, the only qualification was that someone was reported missing, even if posting here comes after they''ve already been found.

FFS.  Are you being deliberately perverse?  He was the lead singer of a band, he's dead, he should go in Dead Pop Stars.

Or whatever genre thread suits, since I'm not familiar with the band and I suspect neither are you.  The default is Dead Pop Stars.

There might finally be some resolution in the long-running case of Suzy Lamplugh. If the rozzers have finally found the spot - just a thought - in the unlikely event she emerges alive; she'll be stunned at how much the price of houses has gone up since she last sold one!

He'll doubtless take the secret with him - the only entertainment he leaves us, then, is a Cannon vs Tobin poll, or summat.

I think Cannon will go first, Tobin's an Ian Brady job - possessed of a psychotic Scots toughness
