Sir Creep 7,070 Posted June 30, 2017 Herve Filion was, for many years, the winningest harness racer who ever steered a sulky. He came in first 15,179 times in 82,336 starts, and held the record for most wins in a year, 814, set in 1989. Filion, who would have won even more races were it not for a seven-year suspension beginning in the mid-1990s, died on June 22 at a hospital in Mineola, N.Y. He was 77. The cause was complications of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. SC
