For interest, the new President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles is 90 year old Russell Nelson, replacing Boyd K Packer who died as reported above. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/wires/reuters/article-3164197/Former-heart-surgeon-head-Mormon-Churchs-board.html

Always seems to make the Daily Mail, so probably a shoo in for a UK obit when he pops off. No sign of Monson, the head of the Church going though.

Latest news on Thomas Monson -- sounds like they sent him home to die.  Anyone read it differently?

Coptic Pope Tawadros II had only just left St Mark's Cathedral in Alexandria today when a suicide bomber blew himself up at the front door.   Tawadros probably owes his life to the vigilant security guard who challenged the bomber before he got inside.  The Islamic State have made repeated threats against the Coptic community in Egypt recently, so it follows that blowing their head man to smithereens would be a good result for them.  Definitely worth a speculative punt in an upcoming deadpool IMO.

The big news of the day, no question. Assumed when he didn't turn up for Easter service anywhere that he was in his final weeks.

Annnoying that the one bishop who didn't show up on my cancer searches went, yet Bishop Robinson carries on.

One of those victims of last-minute stubbornness for me. I was aware of his illness before 2017, but since it was announced in the final days of the year I was hesitant to take any of my names out...

Saying nothing of 'Tawadros'.

Mormon boss Monson "no longer regularly goes to his office":

The 89-year-old Monson........."communicates and confers with his counselors on matters as needed."
Which is exactly how his God communicates with the Mormons.

Bishop of Bradwell John Wraw, has died aged 58. Here is a Press Release from the Chelmsford Diocese, perhaps a QO shall follow. The BBC confirms the news.

A QO is fundamntal for my Windy City team, considering Jagraj Singh went lost.

If we can't accept a Chelmsford Diocese presser, we may as well shut this bitch down.

As expected, a full Telegraph obituary came.
