Awake and showing signs of improvement, he's also holding hands with family members.

Damn good news. All the credit to this young man for being a fighter and to those trainers/first responders for their skilled practice in the critical first moments.

Alabama Crimson Tide play by play announcer Eli Gold offers some clarity regarding his recent health problems. It’s a “treatable” form of cancer. Gold has missed some of his broadcasting duties since August 2022 to focus on his health.

Former Alabama running back Ahmad Galloway-- who rushed for 17 touchdowns in his Crimson Tide career -- has died ... TMZ Sports has confirmed. He was just 42 years old.

According to principal Susan Reid at Compton-Drew Middle School in St. Louis, where Galloway was teaching eighth grade English, Galloway was found dead on Monday.

Reid tells us the former tailback, who was drafted by the Denver Broncos in 2003, failed to show up to work ... prompting concerned school leaders to ask for a welfare check at his home.

Galloway played for the Tide from 1999 to 2002, running for 1,830 yards. Following his selection in the '03 NFL Draft, he bounced around the league ... but never logged an official stat in a game.

NFL Predictions for 2023 deaths

Chicago Bears

1. Mike Ditka

2. Steve McMichael

Ric Flair posted on his Twitter yesterday that he’d been to visit Steve McMichael - he also posted a picture. I wouldn’t bet someone else’s money on the poor sod seeing this time next week.

He has looked awful for months, but now he is also on oxygen which means a few months at most. But it will be likely sooner.

He has been on oxygen a while now but yeah each picture that comes through I think he can't look any worse  and he does.

No way to live.

Reckon he has made the Drop 40 this year.

Peyton Hillis saved his kids from drowning in the ocean and is now in critical condition in the ICU.  Goodness gracious, what is going on already in 2023?

Looks like he's going to be fine.

The existence of NFL players named Lemon & Lemonier implies the existence of an NFL player named Lemoniest.

Yes, Bill Lemoniest was a linebacker for the Detroit Lions in the 50's.
