I'm not really talking Olympians here and the ideas and possibilities thread for 2018 is closed but...

London Marathon organisers have already indicated Sunday might be the hottest (weather wise) race ever. So, just wondering if there's any well-meaning middle-aged chubster in your area already outing him/herself as one running in a costume for a heart-breaking personal reason.

Just sayin'

Well fuck. London Marathon: MasterChef semi-finalist Matt Campbell dies. Not exactly a middle-aged chubster in a costume, but from your neck of the woods!

Hans Gunter Winkler, German equestrian dead at 91. Five Gold, one silver, one bronze, notably on Halla, who deserves some credit too, though probably died a long time ago.

I’d be surprised if he doesn’t get a DDP obit quickly (pun intended) considering how many new sources outside the UK are reporting it already.

How long until the Daily Mail/AP obit? I give it 14 more minutes.
