Summer Olympic Deaths/Dead Medallists

Recommended Posts

To be fair, there's nothing in the thread title indicating that a distinction exists.

Could a mod perhaps add "Summer" as a prefix to the title, for clarification?

Why do we have a general Olympics and a Winter Olympics? Shouldn’t they be one thread? Otherwise, a summer Olympics thread would make this one obsolete...

EDIT: Or what Toast said...

Ah, what hilarity we had when Sir Creep said exactly the same thing years ago!!!

Which is exactly why we still have both threads....

Could also be in "interesting ways to die".

Damn shame (she was a dike). Steel blue eyes.

Indubitably.  August isn't the time to hold back such DDP potential, imho.  Had I come across this after Halloween, it may not have made the press.  Heart surgery/stents are pretty common, and unless there are extenuating circs I'd expect a 'full recovery' whatever that means.  I'm sure my posting means he will get some play in 2019 DDP,  even if just a couple teams.  But if he exits that hospital he should be fine for the short term.  If he doesn't, he won't see 2019 and no loss.  The monthly DPs may take note though.

It was such a nice story and someone had to ruin it with facts.

Wikipedia (my ever unreliable source) initially listed it as a silver medal.  At least she's still on topic for the thread.
