I did a search, vaguely recalling a previous browser-debate thread, but I couldn't find one. Maybe it was on another forum.

Mods: This topic is verging on spam, so happy am I to evangelize the many, stable, reliable virtues of Mozilla Firefox. But if you could let it run until there have been a few replies on the poll, that would be nice. Cheers!

I switched to Mozilla Firefox last week because IE had "encountered some trivial, probably flash-related problem and needed to close" one thousand times too many, despite Spyware and Adware and Firewall and blah blah blah. For me, it had just become too unstable a product, as I tend to run quite a few browser windows concurrently.

I recently sent a PM in which I noted the "new active spellchecker function" on the DL software. Imagine my embarrassment, upon realizing that it's not the DL sofware, it's Mozilla Firefox, my clever new vulpine browsing-buddy, checking my spelling for me! Awww... how cute! (there must be some way of switching that off)

Anyone have any opinions on this matter? I mean browsers, not spellchecking.

I had something similar happen about three years ago... I have not touched IE since. I even haven an IE tab in my FF so I can do certain things without having to use the horrible IE. (This includes webdesign and internet banking)

I am never ever going back to IE.

Mozilla all the way at home. Why? It works.

IE a work. Why? "You do not have the relevant permissions to add this program."

How do I browse? ... it would generally depend on what I'm browsing at. You see Star Crossed

When you are in public and you are browsing at such a capacity where other people can feel the intensity of your browse, it doesn't look good. So if I'm browsing I move from one thing to the other, and I make sure that when I'm browsing I don't let other people know my crave for the item\subject\broad\ I'm browsing at. On the Internet I usually use Fire Fox or Yahoo, I'm not much for MSN.

This is so far over my head it may as well be the f*****g Red Arrows.

Computers are for using both my fingers to hit the keys as hard as necessary to make something happen on the screen.

The lines that supply computers are a different matter, that Im good at, the rest, shite.

SC, you are nothing but a dirty whore!

IE f**ked up my computer so I switched to Firefox. Then Firefox f**ked up so I switched back to IE. Just now I'm on Firefox but I know it's going to f**k up again. I've taken to licking my thumb and just flicking the pages. Perfik.

I wonder if I should be using Firefox. It appears from what you respected people say that Internet Explorer is the electronic equivalent of white Y fronts. The Pooka don't do Y fronts.

What must I do to get myself into some e-CK boxers ie Firefox?

Wary though, my System Restore has been quiite puffed out recently.

It's a well-known fact that PC problems are only ever caused by the viewing of unsavoury material (AKA "pornclogging").

IE and Firefox both work perfectly well on mine. innocent0002.gif

Looking forward to seeing this thread go up in flames.

Is that a fact?

If this is indeed the case, I shall have to take Lady FN to task.

Either she drastically cuts down her viewing of Pornography on this computer or I shall have to, yet again, punish her.

My Cat O' Nine Tails is wearing out!!

I dunno where's best, but somewhere, I feel, we should mark the demise of Internet Explorer.
