Read yesterday on twitter tha actor Nicholas Chagrin died in August 2017 aged 72. He played  security cheif Quillim in Doctor Who serial Vengeance on Varos.

She won a BAFTA for hair/make-up on the TV version of Cold Comfort Farm, but will be fondly remembered by Doctor Who fans for her make-up and hair design on such stories as The Leisure Hive, Logopolis, The Trial Of A Time Lord and Silver Nemesis, amongst others.

As a fan of the Pertwee/Tom Baker era of Doctor Who I'm very sad to hear of Peter Mile's death. I was listening to the commentary he gave on the Genesis of the Daleks DVD just a few weeks ago and he sounded genuinely enthusiastic about being on the show.He was one of the best villians in the show's history. I will probably watch one of the 3 stories he did for Dr Who in the next few days in tribute to him .Maybe all 3 in fact !

Peter Miles was in the very first production I saw at the RSC in Stratford. A school trip in 1985 to see Henry V with Kenneth Branagh, Brian Blessed and Patricia Routledge.

He is Guardiany enough, but the problem with newspapers relying on one person to write all the obits in a particular field, as we've seen before, is that if that particular person is frightfully busy or otherwise not available, then the dead person remains in obit limbo... usually forever.

On Twitter Toby Hadoke when he did an obit for Peter Wyngarde was asked about David Fisher and his reply was I can only do what I am asked to do.

Cyril Frankel was quoted in Peter Wyngarde's obituary but was never given the honour of getting an obituary himself.
