Yes, they were one of the sources for "maybe alive" - they are a useful resource but can be prone to assuming folk are alive through lack of proof of death.

Hugh Lund is reported to have died December 29th last year according to The Doctor Who Cast & Crew Blog, is also on his IMDb and Amazon page.
