Twelvetrees 10 Posted November 15, 2007 Some interesting names, as well as some familiar ones and a few from the pages of 'Who's That'. My point is that there is a problem with choosing lots of really old people on the sole basis of their age. Statistically, anyone in their nineties has a better than even chance of seeing through the next twelve months. Take Walter Cronkite - he's pretty spry for 92, and average life expectancy at his age is 96 plus. Likewise John Glenn, who at 86, should easily get past 90. I was watched him receive the 'Lifetime Achievement' award recently (A year or two ago) and he looked like he could be around for another decade. This Estelle Getty (who seriously) played like a ninety year old woman twenty years ago might be a one way ticket. Sydney Pollack is one of those that drive me to debate because I can't find a reliable source that contains information relating to his so called 'cancer'. So who knows. There have been no media reports of her being released yet from the hospital since she was first admitted over a month ago. She has had numerous health problems.
