@maryportfuncity that BBC keeping a straight face thing you were on about.

Quote

In a particularly festive gesture, the passers-by are reported to have scooped up all the money from the street and taken it back inside the bank.

Colorado Springs police named the suspect as David Wayne Oliver, 65. He is not believed to have had any little helpers.

So, the pidgeon lady in Home Alone 2, I wanted to see, out of morbid curiosity, if she's still alive - I figured she was a fringe actress... But I had no idea that she, Brenda Fricker, is an Oscar winner (and alive).

You have until Easter to pay the ransom, otherwise baby Jesus gets crucified.

John Bird

Is it just me, or has the formerly ubiquitous John Bird not been on TV in years? I mean, fair enough, he's 84 this year, and John Fortune died a number of years ago, but he always felt like the type of performer who'd go on in TV roles/panel show type things for life unless health got in the way, so just saying...

Now look.

It's 3 months to the big day. (Thanks, BBC).

No excuses not to enjoy the big day now you are prepared. Remember when Lady Die thought October was too early? :P

And now sky have their Christmas channel on the go now.  I suppose with them showing Diehard tonight it clears up the mystery of whether or not it's a Xmas film. Channel 5 showing Xmas films now.  FFS it's the beginning of November.

Who else is playing Whamageddon this year?

I enjoy taking part in this every year, not least because I fucking despise the song.

Oh, there are much worse songs.  That Paul McCartney atrocity would be top of my "run screaming out of the shop" list.

Okay, can anyone tell me why whoever created this image has stated "Yes, we're European heathens" immediately after writing the date in US (month, day) order not once, but twice, rather than European (day, month) order?
