Ideas And Possibilities For 2009

Senator. Arlen Specter, who I've already mentioned, has been given the news that his Hodgkins Lymphoma has returned. About 25% of the population diagnosed with the illness die from it. Specter is near 80, and has already had bypass surgery which he barely survived. Specter also had a misdiagnosed brain tumor which he was told to be fatal. After battling so many illnesses it provokes one to question why it's recurrences never fold.

Two years after the fact, actress Cynthia Nixon (Sex in the City) said she successfully battled breast cancer, reports the New York Daily News.

Sounds like she is fine...but its worth knowing.

Michelle Triola, actress who is the partner of Dick Van Dyke, but was more well known for unsuccessfully trying to sue 'Lee Marvin' and shockingly enough her actions actually ended up intimidated other Hollywood males, as they feared they might possibly be 'Marvinzed'! Anyway, she has been diagnosed with potentially fatal lung cancer.

French Caribbean poet, Aime Cesaire, 94, is seriously ill with heart problems. I doubt he'll get to 2009, but worth knowing about just in case he pulls though his present tribulations.

Dead. 3 days this time, you're losing your touch.

Not famous for acting...but I bet she gets UK obit for the trial.

Have just been getting my daily fix of accidentally watched a bit of ITV's This Morning. Kenny Richey, the Scot recently released from death row, was discussing his suicidal feelings while in prison. Fair enough, but he also told Phillip and Fern the two presenters, whoever they are, that he felt more suicidal now that he was free than he did while inside. Which is curious, imho. He said that what stopped him was the thought that he would hurt his family. With his father apparently soon to be gone from cancer, could Kenny be an outside chance for next year? I don't really think so, but you never know...

Kenny Richey, who has a serious heart condition to contend with as well as his suicidal impulses, has been dabbling in cocaine and leading a generally unhealthy lifestyle since his release.

Apart from his suicidal impulses, heart problems and drug abuse issues, Kenny now has another problem to contend with - mouth cancer.

I bet he wished he stayed inside now!

Founding member and lead singer of The Hacienda Brothers, Chris Gaffney, has been diagnosed with liver cancer. He's probably about as famous as Jeff Healey, who got loads of UK obits.

Dead

:skull:;)

This suggestion lasted 15 days - positively ancient by DDT's standards.

It often feels like I am reading the obituaries of a week's time when DDT posts here & thus you easily lose track of who is dead & who is dying these days...... ;)

I've got two more and I promise they'll both live at least a few months.

Sheffield Council leader Jan Wilson, a leading light in the Socialist Republic of South Yorkshire, is suffering from lung cancer. I'm not certain that she would get a national UK obit, but she stands a decent chance, especially if she were to die while still in office.

The Godfather of Mexican drug smuggling, Ernesto Fonseca Carrillo, 77, founder of the Guadalajara Cartel, is believed to be suffering from cancer and has been denied hospital treatment. He has been in prison since 1985. As well as smuggling tonnes of narcotics across the border in to the USA, he managed to make life even more difficult for himself by getting involved in the torture and murder of an American Drug Enforcement Agent and murdering two American tourists who disturbed a drug smugglers meeting at a restaurant.

Dreary Barlow's mum fell over - OK, it doesn't look serious now, but once the old codgers have one fall, more are bound to follow....trust me, I work in the Old Codgers Falling Over sector.

After a swift sideways move from the Old Codgers Being Pushed Over sector?

They fell I tell you! I work in the Old Codgers general sector, which encompasses Falling Over/Being Pushed Over/Not Being Able to Wipe Their Own Asses. Although taking into account my change of domestic circumstances since that little episode, I could actually say that he pushed them over before beating the crap out of them and stealing their pensions - that way the divorce judge will see what an asshole he is and give me more money.

Sorry I Haven't A Clue host Humphrey Lyttelton not terribly well and in hospital. Could he be Madonna's Hand Of Bod's much-needed third clog-popper? We'll see.

The first actress to play her committed suicide maybe there's a curse.

Ah, interesting titbit of information there, thanks. I have to say, I'd top myself if Deirdre Barlow was my daughter as well. Oh, Tracey love!

You maybe on to something. She only did two episodes before she topped herself. Patricia Cutts was her name, not sure if lived up to her name or not though

We are practically 1\6th through the year 2008 and talking results we have seen both the expected and unexpected. Then again, it sort of works that way with everything. Today I give you a short report on candidates who were common but weak choices for the year 2008. My top ten in no specific order.

1. Tony Snow - I've seen him on at least two separate talk shows in the passed two or three months and both times he looked more healthy and seemed very active. His cancer is in remission so that should have meant 'Next year'

New CNN commentator Tony Snow was reportedly taken to the hospital this morning. In Washington state, the DC-based Snow canceled a series of speeches at Eastern Washington University because of illness. He was treated for exhaustion at the hospital, says a source. There is no word yet on his health status - he's been battling colon cancer - or whether he will appear on the air tonight with CNN, during its coverage of the Pennsylvania presidential primary.....

From a realistic standpoint: Tony Snow has been extremely active being involved with a 'radio show' and has been a regular on CNN. If he faces his final show down at some point this year, I expect it to be around the holidays. One thing I can guarantee is if he is alive in 2009 (which I think he will be) he will definitely be on my team. Then again, Death itself is unlimited, it has no number, so the possibility is always at stance to prove you wrong. Expectations are bullshit artists. Even with the facts sometimes.

He was on my Weatherman90 team for this year before it was aborted. I may have to find a home for him when my RDP switches over in May (if he lasts that long).

Former Luftwaffe pilot Willi Schludecker, 87, is on a tour of Britain apologising for his conduct during the war and expressing regret for the many lives lost as a result of the bombs he dropped. He is described as "in failing health" with a dying wish to personally apologise at a memorial service.
