Bugger! You beat me to it.

Amazingly a unique pick on the DDP for Redmyst XX.

Is Redmyst XX one of "us"?

One of "us"? Who are "you"?

Perhaps she's "one of them"?

Eddie 'Bozo' Miller 'glutton and racing fan.' Dead on January 7th, if this guy warrants a full-blown Telegraph obit surely Don Wittman is in there too.

The competitive eating Eddie 'Bozo' Miller receives the UK obituary and ate '12 club sandwiches' '400 raviolis' 'Did prodigious exercises' 'He never had indigestion' He didn't take seconds - He took eights and ninths and fourteenths and seventeenths and twenty firsts and twenty fourths and the numbers continued. He does not.

Billy Elliott has danced his last.

This Elliott however was a former England international footballer, manager of Sunderland & Darlington & part of that amazing 1973 FA Cup final when Sunderland shocked Leeds. He was 82.

Just had an e-mail to say that Slim Whitman has died. I only realised a couple of weeks ago that he was still alive.

According to Wikipedia, he died just a day after his 84th birthday, missing out on a DDP party pooper bonus...

But even if he DID die on his birthday, it'd still be a miss as nobody picked him on DDP.

So long as you don't count the two that did.

Not that his death was reported anywhere in print except for The Tennessean, which august organ is no longer running the story. Also worth noting that he's no longer dead according to Wiki.

Looks like a hoax, folks.

In the midst of all the is Slim Whitman dead or not palaver, the DDP has had another of it's candidates drop.

Although the Guardian (as usual, bless them) have f**ked up the age of the person & the date they died - more reliable sources have confirmed it was a death on the 21st January 2008.

The hit.... well, it's another hit for... TMIB!

By the way, the only thing reporting Whitman's death is this but if you read the comments underneath, the contributor got the info from Who's Dead & Who's Alive, who get their info from.... Wikipedia. :)

Although Find A Grave have him dead, along with two virtual floral wreaths, I suspect he is still alive & someone perhaps misheard a tribute for his birthday & thought that he was dead, I suspect.

Since when did obituaries get written in the first person? Near the end it turns into the Illtyd Harrington story. Given this and the basic factual errors noted by Triple O, The Guardian should change its name to "The Gutter".
