Sir Creep 7,070 Posted March 9, 2019 Former Sounders general manager Jack Daley, who guided the original incarnation of the team through its first eight seasons, has died in San Diego at age 82. His son, John, said Daley’s wife found him collapsed on the bathroom floor of his home Thursday morning. Attempts to revive Daley from what his family suspects was a heart attack proved unsuccessful. “Whatever it was, it happened quick,’’ his son said. “He had just gotten out of the shower and was getting ready to go and play a round of golf.’’ SC

Hateley looks far older than he is too (57) and I doubt he'll make the same age as his dad.

Ulitzer95 12,577 Posted April 14, 2019 Now seems to be an unrealistic gap between the oldest two (b. 1915) and the third (b. 1921) of 6 years. Must surely be others who we just don't know about.
msc 18,437 Posted April 14, 2019 Well there''s a 4 year gap between Ronald Atkins and Sir Patrick Duffy! But yeah, with thousands of clubs in the UK, the odds must be high there are other footballers out there, but at this point, so obscure we'll only ever hear about them if they threaten super-centenarian age. Octopus of Odstock 2,186 Posted April 14, 2019 I'm working on this. There will be another OoO megalist later this year. I'm compiling the list at the moment and am doing it by alphabetical order by club. At the moment, I'm on Charlton so there's some way to go yet but I'm already on 150 names. Once the list is done I'll check the names and delete those gone and then we should have a complete list. 5
