I'm going to speculate with a reasonable level of confidence that I'm correct that they actually meant the former presenter of World of Sport.... Dickie Davies.

 

Spelling is everything I guess.

 

There are two. There is a Dickie Davis and two unlucky people picked him this year. Ha ha!

 

I reckon those two did mean Dickie Davies, you know. Time for an adjustment...

There's probably worse own goals. Like Gary Mabbutt's own goal in an 80s FA Cup final which cost Spurs the game if I remember rightly. That probably carries more comedy value.

 

The less said about the Andres Escobar's goal the better, though, obviously.....
