Since fiorentina died, I didn't think the new club that important.

Not as if the Club of the best number 9 of the 90's, by a fucking mile.

Harry Kane lolololololol .

Yip toastie, the best no9 of that decade.

Closest since was the Russian until he was utterly ruined by moving to england.

Not been one contender since. Not 'one'.

Fiorentina captain Davide Astori has died suddenly aged 31. Can t post a link right now.

My only takeaway from this is that Francesca Fioretti is available.

The rate in which footballers are dying young or having severe health problems is increasing. The PEDs and steroids doses must be increasing. Its no secret the juve team of the 90s were all drugged up zizou even admitted it. Its all out there I read a book about England players lining up for injections before a game with Argentina in 1998. The famous ajax side given injections one of the players saying he felt like he could jump 10 feet in the air. Even Ronaldo's (the Brazilian one) knee problems have been linked to steroid abuse as the dramatic increase in muscle mass put too much strain on his knee ligaments.

Legendary Liverpool defender John Molyneux, who played under Bill Shankly, has sadly passed away aged 87.  The powerful full-back played for Chester prior to joining the Reds in 1955, where he would go on to play 249 times.

From the S*n report

Quote

In the defender's final season at the club, he - under the management of legend Bill Shankly - finally got Liverpool back to the First Division.

Slight hyperbole from our super-soaraway S*n, he played three league games that season, then was sold back to Chester.

The picture in the Northampton chronicle was taken in1965 if the report is to believed. He looked bloody awful for a 23 year old!

They did a nice little tribute for him before the start of today's match.

Ken Mulhearn , Shrewsbury stalwart keeper, but famous for fucking up for Man City in Europe which saw him punted.

Also grandad of Southampton's current keeper, Harry Lewis.

Ruben Galvan at 65.

Won 4 Cops Liberetores on the spin for Indepeniente which gave him a crack at the World Club playoffs, kicked the fuck out of Ajax in 72 so much that they refused to play in 73, so they beat Juve instead.

Unused sub in 78 WC.

This is awesome work. So - pardon my ignorance here - who's the oldest former international? Broadis played for England. He was ill - as in rumoured to be unwell - a few years ago which I posted here but appears to have recovered pretty well.

Ivor Broadis....seems well enough to chat away to the *ahem* Daily Mail: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-5520195/The-remarkable-life-Ivor-Broadis-Englands-oldest-living-player.html

Wasn't that well a while back but thriving now

In that remarkable life he was player-manager at Carlisle aged 24 and went on to make the decision to sell himself.
