Ivor Broadis currently in fine form and regaling journalist with his opinions.

Oldest surviving England international (aged 95) - but then he did most of the good work on the pitch with his feet. Not a noted scorer of many headed goals

Neville Southall getting all the plaudits recently for being #woke, but Jesus Christ how fucked must this man's arteries be? He was never the sveltest stopper but he looks like the bloated corpse of a man found drowned.

I knew he had piled on the weight since finishing playing and saw his name trending on Twitter was expecting to click on the link and it saying he had died. In all honesty he is one to keep an eye on as he is 60 this year and in his state surely his heart must give in before long, I can’t see him living into his 70s or 80s. It’s a shame as he seems like a good bloke and he was a brilliant goalkeeper in his day a true Everton legend.

Judging by pictures he wasn't obese until a few years ago. He looks terribly unhealthy but he might be able to lose the weight as fast as he put it on. If not, heart problems on the horizon.

To be fair, tinnitus, taste issues, headaches, toothache and balance issues are common symptoms of hayfever and/or dealing with a temperamental child, so I can see why he'd get them confused.

One of the growing band to have played for 4 European Cup winning clubs.

I remember best (apart from a winning goal v huns) when he signed for Marseille.

Met at the airport by Tapie who shook his hand and said along the lines of " I'm glad our scouts have got us a forward who loves the ball to his feet".

I think he turned whiter, smiled and nodded.

I notice in this trailer for the movie "Kaiser!", a documentary about notorious Brazilian "fake footballer" Carlos Kaiser, he claims to have "a disease like Michael Douglas has".

They're making a movie?

Legend.

I loved the tale of him actually getting told he's going on as a sub, so starts a fight with his own fans to get a red card afore he can go on :D

Genius.

Ernie Hunt, Ex Wolves, Coventry, Everton, dead at 75.

Scorer of this goal, which lead to the laws being changed to outlaw that type of free kick

Tipping up old huns #3, Johnny Hubbard made the match yesterday, but the most used words were 'recent scare' and 'frail', "very frail".
