Worth putting in here imo. Jack Rollin, former football writer for the Sunday Telegraph and editor/writer of pretty much the entire annual series of Rothmans Football Yearbook, has died.Wont be the only person to have referenced dozens of those pre-widespread Wiki/Google days.

Dr. Jozef Vengloš, assistant to Václav Ježek in the famed Czechoslovakia triumph at Euro 76, has died aged 84.

He would go onto manage, among others, Aston Villa, where he was the first-ever foreign manager in the top flight in England and Celtic, where he succeeeed Wim Jansen in 1998 in what was an ultimately failed endeavour.

Despite this, he remains remembered in Scotlsnd for his signing of Ľubomír Moravčík, regarded as one of Celtic’s finer signings in that time.

John Grant, Hibs stalwart and twice a Scottish International died recently

From twitter: I’ve just learned that former Hibee John ‘The Duke’ Grant who was at Hibs from 1949-1964 has passed away at the age of 89. I used to work with his daughter Karen and always enjoyed the stories she told about her Dad.  RIP John, my thoughts are with Karen and all John’s family.

Ali Ansarian, a former Iran international defender, turned actor and TV presenter, has died of COVID-19 aged 43.

Initially, given his age, I thought he was part of the 1998 World Cup squad, but it turns out he made his debut in October of 1998 and picked up five more caps between then and 2007.

KNUTSFORD FC are mourning the loss of one of their unsung heroes.

Dave Jenyons, who was a valued volunteer in helping to maintain and improve the club’s facilities, died on Sunday, January 24.

He was a stalwart of the club for many years and especially the 2010s when supporting his son Steve’s captaincy of the team’s most successful decade in the club’s 132-year history.

...and likely the only time the Knutsford Guardian will be used as an obit source.

Cause of death is in most reports if you had checked - cerebral atrophy.

And yet listed as COVID-19 on the Wikipedia "Deaths in 2021" page (at least at the time I'm writing this). I looked at this one obituary, it didn't list a cause of death and I left it at that.
