Italian Gianmarco Calleri, former player of Novara, Monza and Lazio has died aged 81.

After his playing career, he became president of Lazio and Torino

Death being reported of Italo Galbiati, who was the assistant to Fabio Capello at nearly all his managerial positions - including the Milan golden years and the slightly less impressive England spell. Also had three caretaker spells as Milan manager.

Chris Shevlane a Scottish right back who played for both Hearts and Hibs, a short spell at Celtic and finished his career at Greenock Morton where I saw him and he always put in a good shift has died aged 80

Mimis Papaioannou was a great Greek football player, he is among the XI best Greek players in the history of Greek football according to IFHHS in 2021, he never took a yellow card, he played for AEK, and he was assistant coach of the Greek national team between 92 and 94, he also recorded 7 songs
Died at age 80

Claude Simonet, president of the French Football Federation (Fédération Française de Football) between 1994 and 2005, has died aged 92.

During his tenure, France won their first World Cup (though winning coach Aime Jacquet had been chosen 2 months before his spell) their second European Championship and 2 Confederations Cups

Another footballer sidelined by a heart issue (see Enoch Mwepu, passim) is ex-Liverpool player Lucas Leiva, who was diagnosed during a medical while playing with boyhood club Grêmio (from whom Liverpool signed him in 2007).
