She's also the mother of actress Gaynor Faye, who used to be in Coronation Street and was killed off when she dropped dead while hanging out the washing.

I'm sure she's been in other things, but that's where I know her from.

If I can precede this by noting Gaynor Faye is always one of those actresses I am aware is in things rather than seen (as its mostly Corrie, Emmerdale and her mums shows).

This is me learning Gaynor Faye is younger than I thought! She's 50. I legit thought, as a 90s Corrie name, that she'd be ages with Kirsten Scott Thomas and the others from that 1990s generation of actors who are in their early 60s now!

Strikes me as one of those shows that every middle aged woman loved and found "hilarious" and "hysterical", even though it was totally shit. A bit like Miranda.

Don't get why people are so harsh on Miranda it is very very fun and really gives Patricia Hodge an opportunity to let her down after playing stuck up cows for her whole career

Yes it is silly and ridiculous but that is its charm

As sitcoms go, Miranda is decidedly quite poor imo, but it doesn’t deserve any hate. That should all be reserved for Mrs Brown.

Whose acting career seemed to amount to Coronation Street plus parts in dramas written by her mum (presumably a condition written into the contract).

EDIT: I won't delete but see that msc has already said the same.
