Recommended Posts

Just had word that Phil Alvin, co-founder of The Blasters, is back in hospital. Possibly pneumonia related.

I thought this could be a better place to report on Satya Mohan Joshi's health than the Immortals thread.

Spoiler

19.4.2022, Immortals thread:

Satya Mohan Joshi, 101, was hospitalised in ICU with urinary tract infection, swollen heart, atrial fibrillation, dilated cardiomyopathy, acute kidney injury and traction fibro-bronchiectasis with pleural thickening in his respiratory tract five days ago but according to the latest report he's improving. Of course.

The second report says that he also has a heart tumor.

His health condition has now somehow stabilized or improved and he'll be discharged soon:

Gary Wiseman, drummer of Bowling for Soup, has dropped out of the band's UK tour and returned home with a 'mystery illness'.

Suffered what was thought to be a panic attack last week, got checked, no problems with heart or blood, but no better so has returned home for assessment by his own doctor.

Apparently he suffered from COVID pneumonia. He's only 73, but has been a chain smoker most of his life

So, a brief recap of currently hospitalised/hospice care people. Last time almost all of them recovered! @arghton, I'll surely forget someone.

AMA Muhith discharged, but weak, apparently fighting a serious liver disease and his condition isn't good enough for a surgery...

Either critical or stable, but in this case more likely stable for now as many big Indian newspapers are reporting that she's "stable, but the cause of her anaemia is not known."

Three high level hospitalization, all "will they or won't they":

*South Korean superstar Kang Soo-yeon in a coma after sudden cardiac arrest. Only 55.

*Cacho Fontana hospitalised with pneumonia. I had forgotten he is still alive. Was in a very critical condition with COVID twice last year and his heart has been weak for ages. Over 90 too.

*Indian Telecom minister Sukh Ram in hospital after stroke (apparently hemorrhagic), but now "stable". This guy was in "irreversibile coma" ten years ago, thought It was a scam to get out of prison. Also suffering from a plethora of issues in recent years and soon 95.
