Phyllis Kind, who championed, among others, a group of young artists called 'the Chicago Imagists' and whose eponymous gallery showcased that work until her retirement at age 76, has died.  She was 85.

Primarily noted for designing album artwork for Def Leppard, Metallica, Led Zeppelin, amongst others.

David Palladini, an Italian-born, American illustrator of children's books and tarot cards, died March 13th.  He was 72.  There's a joke in there somewhere about his areas of expertise, but I haven't quite figured it out.
