Carl Saunders (wiki), American trumpeter, reportedly dead at 80.

Seemingly confirmed by WSJ contributor and founder of "JazzWax" (whatever that is.)

Obits from FSK Hub and SNBC13, but nothing decent.

Neither of them are obits. They’re bots. Look at the written English, it’s just auto generated.

Britt Allcroft (Wiki) seemingly dead according to an unsourced edit to her page alongside a few, again unsourced, rumours on Twitter.

A very badly written edit I must say... She died as result of an injury during a robbery? If I read it right?

(Death) Britt was involved in a home invasion when 2 armed robbers got passed Britt's armed security and attacked her while making lunch, while they were shouting her to open her safe she pressed a panic bottom to try and alert her 5 armed security guards, one of the robbers hit her on the head with a hammer and then tried to flee, Britt ran to her bedroom and grabbed her Automatic Rifle and chased them and shot them both dead which would have been legal under Californian law, Britt was taken to hospital where she kept in for a few days, the doctors and nurses and Britt herself misjudged her head wound which was nothing more than a 6 inch wound, Britt fell asleep and died on The 28th February 2023, her death was caused by a head injury which probably resulted in a bleed on the brain, Britt's death was announced on her personal Instagram account by her son Ben Wright, Britt leaves behind 2 children a cat and dog and a personal fortune of £328 Million.

Interesting. Reminds me I need to get a panic bottom installed too in case of a home invasion...

Somebody keeps editing the page of Traute Lafrenz (wiki), the last living member of the White Rose, to say that she died yesterday (March 6th) at the age of 103.

The IP address is based in South Carolina. Lafrenz lived latterly in South Carolina, so maybe true. Let's see...

Just like Knap, not picked in the DDP this year. C'mon ppl.

May have been a wise decision to drop.

Spoke to the Guardian earlier about Gerry O'Hara and they said they won't be running an obituary due to a big backlog of showbiz type obits (most of which have already been published online but haven't yet appeared in print). News to me they were still printing the Guardian but whatever!

Ultimately can chalk this as another lament for Gooseberry.

Gerry O'Hara now has a Telegraph obit.

The following two deaths were edited on their Dutch wiki pages:

1960 Olympic Dutch swimmer Ada den Haan (wiki) reportedly died on 17 March, aged 81.

Two months ago fellow 1960 Olympic Dutch swimmer Corrie Schimmel (wiki) was also reported to have died earlier that month (on 17 January), at the age of 83. No obit for her, but unless they're a footballer it's not uncommon for their families to not report their death to the media.
