The charge of attempting to procure a murder has been dropped. Other charges against Phil Rudd including threatening to kill and some drug possession charges remain.

New album has been snagging decent reviews in places you wouldn't expect, like The Observer today.

Won't kill him but "Brian Johnson [has been] advised by doctors to stop touring immediately or risk total hearing loss":

Hearing loss won't get you DL cred, but he's been mentioned in discussions on the DP circuit.

So let's see: Rudd, Scott, MYoung, BJohnson. So how is what the hell is left 'AC/DC' and who would pay money to see a cover band? The Detroit show has been cancelled and it says 'they'll honour tickets (with a new guest singer) and/or refunds available. Why would I want to see that?

SC

SC, circa 1974.

If you think that's a fair comparison ok.

Aw FFS!

I'll be at a festival where "Thin Lizzy" perform this summer, debateable whether they're as credible as AC/DC.

Frankly, this smacks of contractual fulfillment and nowt much else. They'd be doing us all a favour NOT to stick it out by making an album; IMHO.

You have to give it a chance, I mean, Trevor Horn fronting Yes worked a treat.....

Malcolm Young's death leaves my 1982 DDP theme team for next year one name shorter.

Not a miss for this year's team, he wouldn't have qualified.

Strange fellow.

Hired in 1975, only performed with them live but departed only a few weeks later. Retired from music immediately after and later became a recluse living on disability benefit. Only gave one interview and claimed the band didn't even give him enough money to feed himself.

Hmm

Q/O chances - assuming anyone, anywhere has him on a team?

Seems a lot of viral news sites have picked up the story, just cos it's AC/DC.

If the Mail need content they might cover it, otherwise chances seem pretty remote.

Nobody even seems to know how old he was...

Unless you were related to him or he lived in your spare room,  no-one's even heard of him (until this week) let alone known he was ill enough to be on a deadpool team.

Anyway, it's a serious blow to the 'Paul Matters Lives' campaign.

That's a lot of copy and pasting!

Six newspapers and not one is able to give us his age, or any details of his life before or after the group.

They even have the name and Facebook of the friend who announced it, and yet the story has essentially just been recycled and reworded from a viral news site. Very poor journalistic standards. It wouldn't kill them to make a few phone calls.
